Social Media Assistant

Part-time, 8 - 16 hours per week

DUTIES:

Per the shop manager’s direction, you will primarily be responsible for creating social media content using our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)

Meet daily social media post goals.

Photograph products for social media posts or our online shop.

Blog for our website.

Update our Google Business Profile.

Offer your creative ideas to create fresh and trending social media content that is on-brand.

In addition to your social media responsibilities, you may be asked to support the team by working on a busy sales floor. 

Each employee is required to engage our visitors.

Assist with opening and closing procedures.

Support the team during special events. 

Support the team by helping process new consignments. 

SKILLS:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to listen and respond to guests’ needs. 

Strong social media skills using Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

Canva proficiency or familiarity.

Strong interest in fashion and style.

Be proactive and anticipate guests’ needs. 

Natural curiosity about the consignment/fashion industry.

Pay attention to detail.

Basic math skills for sales transactions. Math skills may be tested.

SOFT SKILLS: 

Excellent problem-solving ability.

Personable, friendly, and positive.

Strong communication skills.

Reflect personal style and pride in your fashion.

Natural desire to help a customer or a teammate.

Be naturally adaptable and willing to change course as needed. 

Discretion and confidentiality are required. If you are offered a position, you may be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
