How does consignment or selling my items with VIDA STYLE Shop work?
Q: What items do you accept?
A: We love anything different & delightful and that will make hearts flutter. We favor labels that are made with high-quality fibers and are sustainable, meaning they will last a very long time over repeated wash and wear. We love luxury labels but equally love labels that are not mainstream. We take women’s and men’s clothing, shoes, and accessories. Q: When can I bring in my items for review?
A: No appointments are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome during our shop hours. As a courtesy to the team, please do not come 15 minutes before closing time. Thank you.
Q: How many items can I bring?
A: Bring in as many clean and neatly folded items as you’d like. (Hangers are okay.) If you have more than 30 items for review, please call before you arrive. Note: Sundays and Mondays are our busiest days. (Please read our website's top banner for an announcement on limit caps. We use caps during super-peak consignment intake periods.)
Q: What happens after I leave my items with you?
A: You will receive a “welcome” email with a link to create your account using our consignor login portal. If you do not receive that email (check your spam folder), you can log in using your email address for both your username and password. Please create your own password once you’ve logged in. Give us anywhere from 1 - 15 business days to process your items. During peak times, expect a longer processing time. Expect an itemized list of your consignments to be sent from hello@vidastyleshop.com . Please check your spam folder first.
Q: How long is the selling period?
A: Two months. If you choose to withdraw your items earlier, we assess a $20 fee, per item.
Q: How do I know what has sold?
A: Log in to your account on our Consignor's Login portal to track your sales and balance. You will see your sold-only items and any balance due to you. Location: Consign With Us Tab > Consignor Login
Q: How do I request a payout?
A: All payout requests must be made using the “Request a Payout” form found online under the "Consign With Us" tab. Verified payouts are made via Venmo, PayPal, or check within 10 days of submission. Requests made via DM, text, email, or over the phone will not be honored. Cash payouts under $30 can be made in-store once per month. Form Location: Consign With Us > Request a Payout
Q: Can I get my items back?
A: If you opt to pick up your unsold items when you complete a consignor agreement, you can retrieve them after your 60-day selling period is complete AND after you’ve made a pickup request. NOTE: Items priced under $50 will not be returned. Please read that again: We do not return items under $50. Our team’s time is best spent SELLING, STYLING, and CONNECTING with our community. We are here to sell and focus our efforts on ensuring that your items sell!
Q: How do I request a pickup of my unsold, expired consignments?
A: All pickup requests must be made using the “Request a Pickup of Expired Consignments" form found on our website. We do no send reminders to pick up. Pickup requests received via DMs, emails, text messages, or phone calls will not be honored. We will get back to you within five business days of your request submission with a pick-up date. Q: What happens if I don’t pick up my items by my pickup date?
We give you five days to pick up your items after we’ve picked and pulled them for you. If you missed your pickup time, your items are considered abandoned and are donated to our Teachers’ Rack or Martha’s Table.
Q: Where do you donate your clothes?
A: We use our Teachers’ Rack to sell unsold, expired, abandoned items before we donate to Martha’s Table.
Q: What is the Teachers’ Rack?
A: We created the Teachers’ Rack to sell donated or abandoned items. We sell single items for $10 or 3 for $24. Cash only. We use proceeds from these sales to create giveaways for our local DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) teachers, as a way to give back to our educators. Thanks to everyone who shops this FUN rack!
Q: Do I get a discount when I shop at VIDA STYLE?
A: You can use credit earned from your sales to get a 10% discount off anything in the shop.
Q: Will you post my items on your online shop?
A: We post luxury, designer, blogger/cult favorites, and some vintage or unique items that are highly sought after online.
